JUST SOLD ☀️🍀 | 🎼 “Caledonia You’re Calling Me.”

It’s no secret that selling homes since interest rate climbs began has been one rollercoaster ride after the other. One second it’s up. The next it’s down. Traditional seasonal selling markets are a thing of the past. What does work is ear to the ground every day, listening & responding to daily market activity. We decided to list this cute semi in mid August WITH a baited price & an offer night, not quite knowing whether such a risk would get the traffic and the dollars we wanted but feeling that why wait if the right buyer was out there. What happened? Sold firm for 118% of asking to buyers who we wouldn’t have wanted to miss out on if we had waited until the Fall to list. A note from their agent that accompanied the offer:

🖊️ “We noticed your listing references a song by Dougie McLean. My client pointed out that he grew up in Caledonia, ON, and is familiar with song. He mentioned it is about Scotland, which just so happens to be the place they went on their honeymoon. Sometimes it’s a smaller world than we think!”
