A common misconception among sellers in Toronto is that when the flowers are in bloom and the grass is green that prices will be up, thus making THAT the ideal time to sell. They think the condo terrace won’t show as well with snow on it. That buyers are in hibernation in the winter months when the weather is cold and crappy. And that flowers in full bloom out front will make the property look more inviting.
That might be true in many areas of the country or even in areas outside of the central/downtown GTA, but here in Toronto, it is exactly that: a misconception. Guess what, Toronto? We are currently experiencing one of the lowest levels of real estate offerings in years in the central and downtown areas. The total months of Toronto Real Estate inventory (that is, the length of time it would take to completely sell off all available homes for sale) just hit its lowest level since 2007 at 4.7 months.
